Boris Yusupov, who lives in Glen Rock, was the pilot of the Cessna 336 that crashed in a residential area around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, according to multiple news outlets including WSAV and the FAA. Yusupov was killed and a passenger was taken to the hospital.
Yusupov's LinkedIn says he flew for Uzbekistan Airways in the late 1990s before joining Ventura Air Services in Farmingdale, NY.
He worked at NYC Air Service in Linden, a company for sightseeing flights over NYC, and most recently was a pilot for Journey Aviation, out of Teterboro.
He was mourned as an "exceptionally experienced" pilot, loving husband and father of four.
